I have been trying to hold off as long as possible because I’ve felt bad raising prices with everything going on in the world, but these 10 hours are really hard on my body and I can’t afford to take a pay cut. Raising my prices allows me to shorten my day to 8 hours without the financial stress. This will also help me stay in Seattle much longer having less physically demanding days! If my new prices are too high, we have options! 1. You’re always welcome to see me in Tacoma! Those prices are staying the same. 2. I love all of you so much and I don’t want my price point to turn anyone away, so if you need sliding scale I’m happy to do that. This can be here and there if money is tight, or more regularly. The scale would be from what my prices are now to the new prices. A few other things, I won’t be offering two hour transformation cuts in Seattle anymore. I don’t feel comfortable charging what I would for those now with the new prices, so please reach out and we can see if we can fit it into a 90 min cut. If not I’m doing them in Tacoma still! Also if you can see me before 5pm please try and book earlier! I have a good amount of people who need evening spots and now I’ll be there one less hour at night. About Carly, the owner of Howdy Barber (she/her): I have been in the industry since 2012 and have had extensive training with Aveda programs after graduating from Gary Manuel Aveda Institute on Capitol Hill in Seattle. I am a haircutting specialist and love to do fades, mullets, bobs, shags, and long layered haircuts. Attention to detail and thorough consultations are two things you will have in every appointment with me. A mission of mine is helping people discover their curl patterns and embrace their natural hair! I’d say my specialty is low maintenance hair that grows out beautifully through every stage. My chair is a safe space and I love being able to provide services for my queer and polyamorous communities. Gender affirming haircuts are so important and I would be honored to go on that journey with you! I have lived in Washington my whole life and currently reside in Tacoma with my two partners, puppy, and two kitties. When I have down time I am typically mountain biking, going to a concert, baking sourdough, reading a good book, or trying to plot how I can rescue all of the animals.
